Why did you need funding?
When I first started my agency, I was working on my own from home. Business was good, but almost too good! I knew I had the demand enough to expand into an office and get a team, but I didn’t have the capital to get it started. So I got in touch with Cambridge.
What happened when you filled out the application?
I was shocked at how quickly the process got going. I did the application with my morning coffee and by the time I finished up my first client in the morning I was already approved. An Account Expert got in touch ASAP to go over the funding and my contract. I had everything in my account by the end of the work day. Unbelievable.
What did you use the capital for, exactly?
I immediately started leasing an office space, which was the main thing. The office made my business more legitimate and I saw more customers coming in from that. Eventually with the growth I had to hire on help, so I used the funds to expand my team with two more employees. I could have never done that if I was still working from home!

Oh goodness, yes. If it weren’t for Cambridge I would never have the resources to establish a physical business and get the staffing help I needed to grow. They made all the difference in the world.
What are the next steps for your travel agency?
Now that business is booming, I can see many opportunities to expand into other branches. I plan on renewing my funding to open a side business, and hire on more employees to run it.
